Our Practical Objectives In order to accomplish our three major goals, we are pursuing these related 12 objectives:
Goal 1: Motivate believers to serve as cross-cultural ministers, and churches to serve as missionary senders, in order to create a contagious burden for world evangelism
- Conduct “Great Commission Conferences” for members of local churches in order to clearly teach the biblical mandate for world missions, and challenge attendees to answer God’s call to missionary service
- Produce and distribute materials (including manuals and videos) that will help churches create and manage mission programs for their congregations
- Provide key pastors with a set of basic study books so they may provide biblical, practical messages and instruction
- Expose key leaders and promising missionary candidates to various cultures
Goal 2: Equip believers called of God for cross-cultural ministry, by providing academic instruction, practical training, and materials
- Produce 6 to 12 culturally-prepared missionary candidates per year via ENI’s formal training program at Kiev Theological Seminary
- Network with and recruit highly-qualified, missional professors each year to teach our specialized curriculum in Eastern European Bible colleges and seminaries
- Provide students and candidates with missiological textbooks to help them successfully serve in cross-cultural contexts
- Guide theological students who may not be majoring in missiology to value world missions as a responsibility of the Church and to promote missions in their home churches
Goal 3: Connect missionary candidates with established mission agencies to form effective ministry partnerships
- Place graduates in stable ministry environments, partnered with missionary-sending agencies which will administrate and supervise their work
- Encourage the creation of national missionary-sending agencies
- Conduct “Mission Fairs” that bring a number of mission agencies and potential missionaries together
- Create and maintain a Russian-language, missions-awareness website that will provide information about various agencies and link potential missionaries with possible partners
